Update April PWRDF May 1 2022  - In the first month of the war in Ukraine $360.000 was donated. These funds are supporting Ukrainians seeking safety in Hungary and Moldova and also mediation needs in the city of Kyiv.. The needs are great and of course other parts of the world continue to need help as well.

We are taking the same amount from our reserves to allocate $90,000 to four other humanitarian needs….each complex..each seeking justice, healthcare and peace.

1…Myanmar…they will join forces with the Lutheran world Federation bringing food ,care, dignity and shelter to the Rohingya people.

2..People of Iraq…one of the most volatile places in the world. Many displaced people need care…clean water, sanitation , Income activities and protection from Gender issues and sexual abuse.

3...Ethiopia..2 years of war and covid has made international aid almost impossible. Again basic needs are trying to be met through the Lutheran world foundation.

4...Syria….the forgotten war…thru the council of church through ACT Alliances woman especially in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon will be given training, basic needs and Dignity.

Please let us pray for these people in their difficult situations. Pray for peace..for dignity..for human rights for peaceful settlements. Lord, hear our prayers.
