We will also hold off on our monthly birthday and anniversary blessings to this Sunday.  A bring and share potluck lunch follows the service and Sunday School Registration takes place

For your Calendar
Sunday School Registration – September 9th
It is very important that the children are registered for Sunday School and we would like to ensure that all our families with children know about the service on September 9th and that registration will take place immediately following the service as will the welcome back potluck lunch.  Please remind people whom you know about Sunday School.

Saturday, Sept 29thCemetery Service
This is being planned to remember all whom we have loved but no long with us who are buried here at St. Helen’s cemetery.  If you know of family and friends of those buried at St. Helen’s, please let them know so that they may attend.  More information will be forthcoming.

Sunday, Sept. 30th – Harvest Celebration
It was discussed last year that as there are so many people away on the Thanksgiving Weekend, we might consider holding our Harvest Celebration on the Sunday before the Thanksgiving Weekend.  The church, will therefore, be decorated for the Sept 30th Harvest service and will remain so until after the Thanksgiving Weekend Celebrations.  Historically, Harvest and Thanksgiving were two different celebrations so we are not doing anything new at all.  We hope this will give so many more people the opportunity to see the wonderful Harvest and Autumn colours adorn our church.

Here Our Prayer
Our week of prayer held in July at St. Helen’s was enjoyed by all who came.  We will be offering the opportunity for monthly prayer this autumn.  This will be a time for songs of praise and worship and bringing our prayer needs before God.  More information will be available the first week of September.

Opportunities for Growth for Young People – We are planning to implement a once a month gathering for young people to grow deeper roots of faith and spirituality.  More information in early September.
