2022 Donation Envelopes – If you have not yet collected your donation envelopes for 2022, please contact the Parish Office by email or phone to make arrangements for pickup.  

ANNUAL VESTRY MEETING 27th February 11.30am - Please do join us at our Annual Vestry meeting.  Thank you to everyone who submitted reports. Ministry Reports, Financials, update on the search for your new Rector as well as Elections and Appointments. A great way to find out more about how your church is governed.  

Palm Crosses - Philippa will be collecting old Palm Crosses to burn to make the ash for the Imposition of Ashes. Please bring them to church or drop them off at the Parish Office.  

PANCAKE SUPPER TUESDAY 1ST MARCH - We are hoping to host a pancake supper on Tuesday 1st March. Please mark it in your diaries! This will be confirmed if the COVID restrictions change later in the month  

ASH WEDNESDAY 2nd MARCH - There will be services at 10.00am and 7.00pm to mark the beginning of Lent. We hope to be able to livestream the evening service.  

BOTTLE DRIVE - As of Feb 1, 2022, a 10-cent deposit will be charged on “ready to drink” milk and plant-based beverage containers, including cartons and jugs. Kelly and Les Foulds would be happy to accept any clean, rinsed containers along with bottles and cans that you donate regularly on the last Sunday of each month.  

New volunteers needed – Prayers of the People Before Christmas the need for more volunteers to lead the Prayers of the people has been canvassed during Sunday worship.  If this is something you may be interested in learning more about, without having to commit, please let Philippa know (preferably by email as she has a terrible memory).  An information/training session will be scheduled for February if there is sufficient interest.   

Prayer Requests to the Prayer Circle – please be in touch with Judy Nicholson who will receive and forward your prayer requests to the prayer circle.  If you do not have her contact details, please send an email to the office email address and it will be passed on to her for distribution.  

Altar Flowers – Please consider providing for the flowers placed on the Altar to the glory of God, in celebration, in thanksgiving, or in memory of loved ones.  The cost is usually in the $40 - $50 range. Contact Heather Herd for details.  You may make your donation by cheque made out to St. Helen's Anglican Church and send it in the mail or leave it in the offering plate on a Sunday or by Interac e-Transfer. The email address to transfer electronically is: giving2sthelen@gmail.com
