Celebrating the Resurrection
Holy Saturday beginning at 6pm
Our celebrations begin on Holy Saturday as we gather around the new fire outside the main door of the church. We bless the Paschal candle (representing the light of Christ) and light it. The light is shared with everyone around as each lights their own candle from the Paschal candle. We move into the church for the vigil of listening to the words of scripture which tell the story of our Journey with God. We hear the Good News of the Resurrection, renew our baptsims vows and celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter. Following the service we will enjoy refreshments and fellowship including champagne.
Easter Day
7:00am - Hymns and Readings
We greet the risen Lord around the new fire with songs of praise and special reflective readings to welcome our festival day
8:00am - The Holy Eucharist
Our celebration of the Eucharist includes the renewal of our baptism vows. Following this service we will enjoy a breakfast together.
10:00am - Festival Eucharist
We pull out all the stops singing hymns, hearing Good News and sharing togther as the faith community celebrating our Risen Lord. There will be an egg hunt for the children following the service. There will also be refreshments and fellowship. Everyone is most welcome
